He is married to his wife, Kim, and has two kids: Leland and Christy. He was Associate Director of The Gathering at McLean Bible Church in Northern Virginia, the largest Christian congregation in greater Washington, D.C. area.  He earned his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary.  Allan will be in our pulpit beginning on Friday evening and preaching through our Sunday evening service.

 Rev. Dr. Benny Tate

Dr. Benny Tate has served over 30 years as the Senior Pastor of Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia.  The church has grown from 80 in attendance to more than 8,000 under his leadership.  The following ministries are part of Rock Spring Church:  Rock Springs Medical Clinic, Rock Springs Christian Academy, The Potters House for Women, Impact Street Ministry to care for the homeless and Rock Springs Global Missions Outreach.  Dr. Tate also serves as President of the Congregational Methodist Denomination and has served many times as Chaplain for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC.  Dr. Tate has authored many books including  most recently, Defy The Odds.  Dr. Tate and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 38 years and have one daughter, Savannah Abigail.  They currently reside in Forsyth, GA.  We are blessed to have Dr. Tate preach for us here at Shingleroof once again, and look forward to his leadership while he is here.

Pastor Brady Howard

Pastor Brady Howard's family came to Glen Haven as a child when the church was still located at its original location in Decatur, GA.  Brady's parents led him to Christ when he was eight years old.  Brady has spent his entire life as a resident of Henry County.  After graduating from Eagles Landing Christian Academy, Brady answered the calling of the Lord for full time ministry.  Brady went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary & University and has done his graduate level work through Liberty University and Baptist Theological Seminary.  Brady is married to Savannah and they have two children; Beau and Adaline.  Savannah has also been a resident of Henry County her entire life.  She came to Christ as a child and her family came to Glen Haven while she was in High School.  Savannah is an early childhood education teacher at Strong Rock Christian School.  Brady began interning at Glen Haven in 2009 with the student ministry.  He was ordained and came on full-time staff as Pastor of Middle School Students in the spring of 2011.  Brady became Pastor over the Student Ministries in the spring of 2014 and became the Pastor of Glen Haven in August of 2020.  We are excited to have Pastor Brady preaching in our Tabernacle for our Monday morning service.

Rev. Dr. Jody Shaw

Dr. Jody Shaw is an Associate pastor at Community Bible Church in Stockbridge, Georgia.  Pastor Jody met his wife, Jamie, at church one evening after delivering a sermon.  They have two children, Camden and Carington.  He received his Master of Divinity, and Doctorate of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Seminary.  Jody's greatest ministry passion is to watch life-change happen when people experience the power of Christ in their lives.  Other interests include the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta sports teams (Braves, Falcons, United), hanging out at the beach, traveling, and spending time with his family.  We are excited to have Jody in our pulpit and look forward to hearing from him.  Jody will be preaching at our Thursday morning service.

               Rev. Doug Stroup

We are blessed to have Doug Stroup back to be our Worship Leader for the week.  Doug has been with us many times in the past as Song Leader and also providing special music as a soloist, as well as with his wife and children as The Stroup Family, and with the Peach State Quartet.  Doug was saved at the age of 10 and started singing for the Lord that same year.  He met his wife, Amy, at church and they married in 1988 and they both graduated from Florida Bible College in 1989.  They have been blessed with seven children, Doug, Andy, Anna, Dora, Amelia Grace, Amanda Joy and Della Rose.  Doug is the Assistant Pastor at Crossroad Bible Church in Fort Valley, GA where he serves as the worship leader, teaches the young adult SS class and works with the Senior Adults.  He is also a filmmaker and serves as the Sr Director of Make It Clear Studio where he produces faith based films with powerful messages.  His favorite scripture verse is Hebrews 12:2.  He and his wife, Amy, consider it an honor and a privilege to serve the Lord together.  Welcome back Doug.

Mrs. Amy Stroup

We are blessed to have Doug's wife, Amy, join us this year as the pianist for the week.  Amy is no stranger to Shingleroof as she has been here many times in the past accompanying Doug as a soloist and singing with The Stroup Family.  Amy trusted Christ as her Savior at the young age of 5 and went on to graduate from Florida Bible College in 1989.  She married Doug in 1988 and has been a huge support to him as his pianist ever since.  She serves as the pianist at Crossroad Bible Church in Fort Valley, Ga where her husband, Doug, is the Assistant Pastor.  Amy considers it a huge honor to fill the shoes of Melissa who has been playing the piano at Shingleroof for many years.

Special Music for all Services

Music will be provided by many soloists, local groups and we are happy to welcome back our choirs from the community.   Many were not available last year due to the pandemic.  Not all of our choirs were able to practice together in person, but we are getting more of our churches ready to join us again.  We will also have some of you favorite groups and Doug will be leading us all in some of the greatest hymns.  We are excited to welcome back Revelation United, Mark Miller, Wanda Joy, The Jonesmen Quartet, several of our local choirs; and some new faces.
