Eagle Scout Project

The trustees of Shingleroof Campground wish to thank Sean for choosing us for his Eagle project.  Before last campmeeting, Sean along with other boys from BSA Troop 62 & Crew 62 cleaned up the tabernacle to help us get ready for Campmeeting.  Sean took a look at the pews and came up with an idea for his Eagle project.  His project would be to re-paint all of the pews under the tabernacle.  He wrote up the full scope of the project and presented it to the Eagle committee for approval.  The plan was to come in with a pressure washer and wash all of the pews.  As a result of the washing, the loose veneer would be easy to spot and could be removed before painting.  Then he would arrange for volunteers to come together to paint the pews.  The trustees were in favor of this project, and the Boy Scouts also approved.  Sean along with his volunteers were able to prepare the pews in one day and were able to paint them all in one day.  This was a huge job.  Actually it turned out to be much bigger than Sean had thought it would be, but he was good to the challenge and at one time had over twenty people working in the tabernacle.  Great job folks.  Thanks to Sean and his work crew.
